My Microsoft Word

     
   
  In BTT101,  the first unit that we started to learn was on Word Processing (Microsoft word). This is one of my assignments that was a practice performance problem and had to be completed using many skills that I have learned so far in this unit. This assignment was on the Simpson's and had information about the show and all of the characters. We had to apply our skills to this and make it into a document that looked creative and unique.  Some examples of these techniques are inserting clip art, creating a table, using word art, etc. That is why this is one of my favourite lessons in this unit. You can make it look like anything you want.


In this unit I have learned many thing that were very interesting and fun. One thing that I will not forget and will absolutely use in the future is how to do a Mail Merge. I did not know how to use mail merge before, and learning this has helped me a lot because it will save me time if I am sending the same document to many people. I could use this information that I have learned and apply it to the times I will need to use it. Mail merge is usually done for letters (college admission, notices) labels, envelopes, invitations, etc. For example, everyone will have to send their resume to more than one place if they want to find a job, so why not use mail merge? Mail merge is a software function that produces multiple copies from a single template source and a structured data source.  
These are some of the first few steps on Mail Merge that will
help you get started.
